Dr Michael Jones
MBBS, FFARACS, FANZCA
Dr. Michael Jones graduated from the University of Sydney in 1984 and undertook specialist anaesthetic training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Anaesthetists in 1991.
He was invited to travel overseas undertaking the position of Assistant Professor in Anaesthesiology at the University of Washington and the prestigious Children's Hospital Medical Centre in Seattle U.S.A.
On his return in 1992 to Australia he was appointed as a Visiting Medical Officer at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and in 1994 joined the editorial board for "Australasian Anaesthesia" as Assistant Editor.
Dr. Jones' wide anaesthetic experience has focused very specifically on anaesthesia for ophthalmic surgery.
In 1996 he was appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Anaesthesia at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, a position which he retains.
