Fee structure
Lasik Fees
The initial assessment for LASIK is $170. If you have a referral
from an Optometrist or Doctor you are able to claim part of this
fee from Medicare. This assessment fee is deducted from the surgery
fee.
LASIK is $2350 per eye less the $170 paid for the initial consultation
and includes:
1.The Lasik procedure
2.All the initial eye drops
3.Follow up consultations for 6 months from the day of surgery
Should a retreatment be required within 12 months of the initial
procedure $200 per eye is charged. Payment for surgery is required
on the day of the procedure.
You may be able to deduct part of the cost of your LASIK procedure
from your income tax as part of a Medical Expense Tax Rebate. Please
discuss this with your accountant.
A payment plan is available for those patients that would like
to spread the cost of surgery. This may be as little as $2.75 per
eye per day for those who are eligible.
Standard Consultation Fees
The standard initial consultation Fee is $115 and you are able
to receive a refund from Medicare of $57-55. Subsequent consultations
within the first year are $60 and the Medicare refund is $28-90.
If you have a pension card our fees are reduced. Initial consultations
are $90 and subsequent consultations are $55.The refund from Medicare
is the same.
If additional tests are required consultation fees may be higher.
